There are a few exceptions, such as the new BBVA Compass Stadium and EaDo. The geographic coverage and selection of places for inclusion is by no means comprehensive. With regard to business locations, restaurants and entertainment venues; and tall, historical, or architecturally interesting buildings are over-represented. Many such places are tagged with the corresponding street name, which allows you - the site visitor - to find images of other buildings or places in the vicinity or on the same street in Houston. Also see list of tags below, and click for complete display of pages containing pictures in a particular topical category or photos of places located on the same street.

Wolfgang Houston's conversations

Hi Wolfgang I would like your permission to use this image for non-commercial purposes. I sent you an email the other day but have not heard back from you yet. Please let me know if we can use if or not. Thanks Keith

This is now 60 Degrees Mastercrafted, with patio (formerly Palazzo's Restaurant at this location) 2300 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77019
The French Gourmet Bakery next door is still there, but has been repainted in different colors.

This is the old Carrabba's sign (juggling pizza cook) prior to the reconstruction of the building. There is now a similarly-themed mural on the South-facing wall of the building on West Main with a directional sign to "TAKEOUT"

This building has been demolished. Needless to say, it no longer functions as a funeral home, or as late-night partying spot, for that matter. All structures on this block on the West side of Kirby were raized, and the site is being re-developed. (Jan 2015 walk-by)

Hendricks on Kirby Drive closed and the building is gone (2015). Entire block is being redeveloped.

The white picket fence is gone and so is the view of the street; replaced by a faux brick wall; What used to be Mugsy's bar with patio has been renamed. There are serious street condition issues on that segment of Richmond, not to mention a broken waterline that has not been fixed for a long time. The sidewalk is practically unusable due to flooding (per Jan 2015 walk-by).

This locale is still vacant (after several years in that status). It is in bad shape, and has become an eyesore in the neighborhood. It's a shame, given the good location: Trader Joe's and Petsmart make for good foot traffic (with sizeable parking lot on the West side of the historic West Alabama Theater) and other nice dining spots are nearby: Triniti and Pappas Seafood House right across the street; newly opened DOSI just a bit to the North on the West side of Shepherd.

This is now Revelry on Richmond and it is no longer orange either. 1613 Richmond Avenue Houston, TX 77006

A lounge/night club is coming in this spot early in 2015, with a rather posh-sounding name: Seven River Oaks. The polychromatic external Tex-Mex coloring concept has been painted over.
2207 Richmond Ave. Houston TX 77098

Little Bigs has opened a new location on Montrose Blvd South of the SW Freeway overpass. 4621 Montrose Boulevard, Houston, TX 77006 (Chelsea Market).
