Andrew Royle's conversations

It is unusual for Fuji-san to be photographed in this way. Reminds me very much of the Hokusai ukiyo-e work. Well done. -AR.

I did warn you about the excess of icons. Cheers, -AR.

Thanks Vasco. The predominance of the rectangular shapes seem to make up a lyrical combination here - don't you think? -AR.

Thanks Vasco. Yeah I like the arrangement here too. I have a sneaking suspicion that this display had been set up by someone with more than just a mind for historical representation. There is something very visually literate about it as well. -AR.

Thanks Vasco. And the cylinder on the right of the frame too I think. The fast walking girl with the handbag and extended shadow across the bottom of the frame is the key object however, -AR.

Thanks again Vasco. No, no HDR, just garden variety 8 bit RGB color. Quiet often in difficult lighting (which means about 80% of the time) I have to finely adjust the contrast settings at low, mid & highlight levels to get exactly the effect I am after. Usually though I do this just to restore an image to how it registered inside my head at the time of taking the shot - not how the camera happened to record it. -AR.

Thanks Vasco. Things fell into place rather well on this particular occasion. -AR.

Nice colours, I like it.

Ciao, Franco
