Hervey Bay is spelt as "Hervey", not Harvey, but pronounced locally as "Harvey" - probably going back to "Lieutenant James Cook who in 1770 named the bay after a Augustus John Hervey (1724-79), 3rd Earl of Bristola career naval officer, commander in chief of the Mediterranean (1763) and in line for a lordship of the Admiralty (1771). Described as active and brave, but reckless and over-confident, he died without a legitimate heir"... and forever mispronounced, but maybe mispelt on a birth certificate somewhere earlier in history?
