Why this caption? "Leaving Trivandrum Central Rly Stn". Is it an expression of something similar to the pain that I usually get during my childhood in early sixties? That is when i return to Delhi everytime after a long summer vacation at my Grandpas place. I still get emotional leaving the station even today. Thanks for the photos.

hi thanks for being nice about the place which is very near to my home! The sea is mostly dangerous but it is a nice place. If u visit between january and may, the waters would be friendly and u can swim in the sea. Next time please make sure u visit the place during that time. Thank you and cheers from india!

Varkala, the place to go when you are tired of the heat and the crowds. It's still hot, but yet quiet and refreshing. The many dozens of fishing boats pass along the littoral amidst dolphins and sea gulls. The winds make it more comfortable climatically than most of India. But, be careful: when going swimming you will probably like me feel your feet being pulled away under you due to the extreme sea current. Never let little kids or poor swimmers out here on their own.

Ghoradongri brings to memory the view of the green prairies which is an unusual sight in the Indian context. Windows Vista Desktop brings back the same memory. It is few minutes of pleasant viewing of the beauty when the train engages/releases the add on loco at this halt.

Appreciate your keen observation of Railway details. Even I make note of such minute details being a Civil Engineer.
