It was indeed on a transatlantic flight. I managed to locate a glacier in Iceland on one of my photos. With the timestamps of the photos, an approximation of the flight speed and a straight line between my departure and arrival (Vancouver - London) in google earth I could deduce the approximate location.

Why are you only critizising people on their photo's?
The photo is shot with a normal digital camera, without any polarization filter as I would use know.
