Great hike! We would get dropped off at what we called "Pebble Beach" Hike up to Cirque Lk and then keep going up to the peaks where we hiked back home to Tasu. Thanks for the pics!!
Cool, my brother Mike Capek worked there from about 1976-82. Unfortunately he passed in july 2000. He loved the place and wasn't the same since coming back to the prairies. He always talked about going back. What a shame everything was demolished. He did leave us photo albums of all the pix he took there, i will upload a few for posterity. I was reminded of the place when I saw an episode of "Canada Over The Edge" recently that did some nice aerial video of the Sunshine Coast & Haida Gwaii (QCI) Regards, Rob Capek
This looks like a pictograph (painted with red ochre) and not a petroglyph which would be "pecked" into the rock. These are common in some spots along the coast B.C. coast.
