Epiphany (from the old Bulgarian - phenomenon of God) is one of the oldest Christian holidays. It is celebrated on January 6 (Epiphany) Originally dedicated to the birth of Jesus Christ and the accompanying events: Circumcision of Jesus and Adoration of the Magi. Historical festival in various Christian traditions festival has undergone significant changes (in particular, it is transferred Nativity  and today various Christian denominations celebrate it differently.

On this day also celebrates the birthday of the great son of the Bulgarian people Hristo Botev, short but bright life, which has played a huge role not only in the struggle of the Bulgarian people for freedom, but in Bulgarian literature, history and culture.
