When I visited this tree at the end of June in 2007 there was a magnificent buttercup meadow which seemed very popular with the local rabbit population.
From the outside it is hard to work out that this piece of woodland consists of two yew trees. On the left is the famous Yew Tree of Ormiston reputed to be a thousand years old and on the right is a younger specimen. The true majesty and scale of these trees is only evident from within the canopy.
