Hello jerrykap! I was in the tower on the ocean when all hell broke loose on January 31, 1968. I still have a piece of shrapnal that came from the ammo dump. Several rockets fell short, one hit but did not explode and another hit MAG16 next door. That was probably the worse night of my life up to that point. The best morning I ever saw was us still standing when the sun came up! I was in the USN and was responsible for the security of the fuel farm that night. Hey guys. I was assigned to the 22nd replacement from Dec '70 to Dec '71. I think I remember Bob Archer as the person who greeted the new arrivals. I also have a hard time remembering the names of the guys I served with.

Hue is on the bucket list.

We took one tour that lasted about 3 hours and covered about 2 1/2 hours.It went down almost 200 feet.
