Yes, as I recall, the rain started on Wednesday morning and continued until the late in the afternoon of Thursday the 18th. Many of the forect roads were impassable, due to "wash-outs" where the roads crossed rivers or streams. I do not remember the exact rainfall totals but I believe the region received approx. five inches of rain in about forty eight hours.
This image was captured from a point almost directly under the Highway 61 bridge in Beaver Bay MN USA. A little manipulation of the levels and some fairly heavy HDR effects helped to overcome the gray day.

Truly a small world. I'm glad you liked the image. I wish I would have taken more photos of the buildings "downtown" when it was alive and the center of life in TH!
