There could be many thing lurking underneath the house, bet croc is one of them. In the 70s our longhouse near Belaga, along the Rajang river were frequently flooded meter deep.
Nowdays, this activity has been decreased. since the cost of opening, processing and harvesting is not good enough to cover family needs over a year. some people still making "Ladang" in order to have the "new rice" which was always delicious because of their nice aroma :)
This is my maiden trip to this area too. The road in the interior as shown on the photo is surprisingly so much better than those coming in from Lapok junction
