eSalameh's conversations
Look, I'm not dening anything happened in 47-8', including some brutal things Israeli soldiers (if you can call them like that, because they were not soldiers, and Israel has'nt established yet) did. but again, the situation of these times was of life or death. and those kind of acts are nothing, comparing the arabs' attacks. the fact that we won is not making us guilty. the things that would have happened to the jews if the arabs had won, could be much worse then that. I did'nt read Morris, but here some of the opinions of your beloved historian:
"I always doubted the intentions of the Palestinians. The events of Camp David and what followed in their wake turned the doubt into certainty. When the Palestinians rejected the proposal of [prime minister Ehud] Barak in July 2000 and the Clinton proposal in December 2000, I understood that they are unwilling to accept the two-state solution. They want it all. Lod and Acre and Jaffa"
"When a Haaretz interviewer called the 1948 Palestinian exodus "ethnic cleansing," Morris responded that "[t]here are circumstances in history that justify ethnic cleansing. I know that this term is completely negative in the discourse of the 21st century, but when the choice is between ethnic cleansing and genocide—the annihilation of your people—I prefer ethnic cleansing."
so, I'm not supporting ethnic cleaning yet, but if the choice is between "ilegal occupation" and the annihilation of my country - I prefer the first one.

I love looking at pictures of places I have never seen before. Oh by the way I think that is what this site is for me. You can not tell me what pictures to upload. If any body wants to put a title on their picture and have that title be a statement of what they think a people believe, that is fine. If you don;t like it then leave. and Don't come back. You are rude to bring up the fact that a political view point different than your own is wrong. Therefore your point of view is... now wrong.
Let's all do what JESUS did and just love one another.
