Hey toodleberry

Not sure how far back you go in the neighborhood but me and my buddies are from the area tenth ave and sherman st to be exact we used to hang at Wetters on the avenue back in the early 60's. Friday nite was the Sanders thearter and when we had some extra cash we would hang out by the side entrance to Farrell's and realy beg one of the regulars to buy us a quart of beer, .50 cents if you can believe it. then we would go to the park and hide behind the stone wall and have a good time. Hey there's a lot more good times. Later

My Dad ran Clarke's from 1951 to 1966.

I worked there too- with my 2 brothers and uncle.

Cool idea. Wonderful rare view. I am bit suprised about the noise of the 40D at ISO 3200.

Wow! The St. Mark's has spruced itself up. I remember staying there a couple of times because you could get a room for cheap and for an hour. One of the times I found a burnt spoon and syringe. It was the early 90s. There were no TV sets in the rooms and hardly any furniture. This was a junky flop house then. I prefer the East Village that way than today. Now it is the Upper Lower East Side.
