This is a picture of the old dam above the mill.The rails you see used to have a walk way on it. The gap in the center had planks in it to control the water level. The river washed around the dam on far side of this picture in the late seventies. There used to be a nice little lake behind it which supplied the water for the mill. Where it washed around is near where the old sluice way used to be. You can still see the old channel to the mill since it runs along side the north side of the river. This is a very nice old mill to visit, since it has all the same equipment in it it had when it was open. It closed when I was a young boy.
