Hi Sunbeams. I was first blown away by the Robie House when I saw it in a college architecture class so when I was in Chicago and saw it on a tour it was a must-see. It's hard to imagine how a building almost 100 years old can be so contemporary...even modern.

And now that President Obama has been elected (he's from Hyde Park) I am sure Chicago will get some Federal money. Why not? Every President always helped the state or city they lived in before they were elected, so when their term was up, they could retire to that city in style. Regardless, Chicago is amazing!

I knoooooow! We were on our way to a 10 day Alaskan cruise aboard the regal Princess and we stopped in San Francisco for three nights at The Omni Hotel. Well, when we awoke that Saturday and was leaving the hotel there were hundreds of people outside in front of the door, Plus all the camera men, etc were there with loads of equipment. I was lucky to get this shot, even though it isn't perfect. I have another one, also.
