I always appreciate corrections to photos I have posted, be it mis-identified or showing a wrong location! Please feel free to correct me! Update on April 17th., 2012! As of today, I have decided to decline any more invitations to join a group, as I feel like I'm in too many as it is! I'd like to thank every one who has invited me in the past, but please, no more invitations!

Thanks for the correction. I have changed the title.

Thanks for the information. I had no idea something like that had happened here!

Hello Buddy Rogers ... photo looks northeast ... Town Hill angles along the upper left of the photo ... you were airborne just about over the minor metropolis of Paw Paw WVa. In this view, the historic C&O Canal torturously follows the north (Maryland) shore of the Potomac, but upstream opposite Paw Paw the canal/towpath cuts off a whole riverine meander with a 3100 foot long tunnel laboriously drilled through a mountain by hand by Irish laborers from 1836 to 1848, an endeavor that virtually bankrupted the canal construction company and allowed the B&O railroad to win the construction race westward ... Greetings from Downeast Maine, Wally (a former Western Maryland ridgerunner)

You are welcome, and thanks for the compliment!

Awesome shot! Saw it on the POTD group.

Perfect photo! I've never been to Alabama but it looks beautiful from this view :-)

You have a great eye for photography. Thanks for sharing your photos and participating in the group. Hope you and your camera have an excellent 2013.

Perfect photo! A Favorite! These are beautiful aircraft.

Thank you for selecting another of my photos as avatar for the Photo of the Day Group. I feel quite honored, as this is one of my favorite groups!

Buddy Rogers, I enjoy owning and moderating the group, POTD - Photo of the Day. I enjoy selecting the avatar from one day to the next. I would like to involve group members in selecting the avatar. If you have an idea, you can participate in the discussion at this group forum.
