Live on island of Molokai, in Hawaii USA. Molokai is one of the smaller islands within the Hawaiian chain, 38 x 10 miles in size, and a population of just over 7000 people. Though separated from Maui, it is part of Maui County. Molokai is 35 miles east of Oahu, north of Lanai, Maui, and the Big Island. These other islands are all clearly visible from different sides of Molokai.
Molokai's nickname is "the Friendly Isle", and is most famously known for Kalaupapa, where Father Damien, Belgian priest and canoniized Catholic saint, cared for patients with Hansen's Disease (leprosy) until his death in 1889 at age 49.
