sbradfield's conversations
This photograph bought back such memories for me. I was born in Edith Grove, Chelsea in 1940 - moved to Langton Street, Chelsea, got married at Chelsea Old Church in Old Church Street, Chelsea. Lived in Fulham, Sands End for 4 years, moved to Sussex and migrated to South Australia in 1973 - have been back several times - each time more dissapointed than the last time! Seeing the photograph of the Houseboats moored along the embankment, which I believe is now are THE PLACE to live in Chelsea reminded me of friends I went to school (Kingsley Secondary School in Chelsea) with friends whose parents couldn't afford to live in a flat or house but could afford to live in a Houseboat - that was in 1945 - 1955 - suspect one has to be a Millionaire now to live there!! The house that we lived in - Langton Street- would be worth an absolute fortune these days.Lovely memories but Australia in NOW our home and we just love our life here.

Hi there Mark
Not sure who they are, just three guys and a girl who hurled themselves off the rusting hull of the wreck. I was just lucky enough to be sitting there with my camera (and a beer) at the beach bar on the island as they were doing it.
Anyway, thanks for the nice comment, pleased you like it.
