Hi Paul, your photo is of the flooded Scott Lode Pit. The Pajingo is now owned by Conquest Mining Pty Ltd and mining is continuing.

Hello

Victor thankyou very very much for your like.

Mahdi yes, I did stand on a bridge. Its a walk bridge that goes across this main road to the Port of Albany. I have taken many shots from this new Walk Bridge since it has been newly built in resent years. Many years ago it was just an old wood bridge, but now its all new and made of steel. Thanks for your Like as well.

Martin, yes I cam imagine working in weather like that!@ Its a lovely day here when I took this shot Martin. I don't think its that hot, as rarely does it get that hot in Albany, but accassionally it does get to over 40C and even got to 48C back a few years, but rained the next dayt!!!. You will have to come here sometime Martin. I hope you do as it would be a pleasure to show you around our area where we live. Thankyou **all for your pleasent comments, likes and greetings. Best REgfards, from, David

Hello Paul. How are you? Years ago I remmeber going to a big seminar in this building and I had to talk in front of about 5000 people. Yes, I was rather nervious, but I shouldn't have been as they all understood. It was good time spent there. Do they still use this building Paul, when passenger ships come in here? Have you been taking any new photos lately? I have been uploading some from a couple of months ago when I was in Fremantle in September. Been a bit distracted with personal things later, and have not been able to take many photos, but I will get back into it again soon. Hope all is well with you Paul. KInd REgards, from, David

Thanks David, I was really surprised when I saw the cairn the first time I got there. The rocks would have had to be carried for some distance too, as there are none very close to the end. I am guessing that a few people carried a few rocks about 100 metres and it just kept getting bigger. It would be difficult to make it bigger now - I don't think I could lift a rock onto the top!

Thanks David. Sadly the day was quite hazy so the photo is not as good as I would like. I am not as fit as I used to be, now being in my late 40s. However, I am seriously driven, and pushed myself all the way to the end and back, completing the round trip in under three and a half hours. I seriously doubt I could do it again - it took me about three days to recover. I hadn't heard about the unexploded bomb found near the end, although my parents had told me about the Air Force using the end of Bald Head for bombing practice during the war.

I took this photo in 2005, when I took the family to stay with friends in Cairns. We borrowed their van and did a big drive down to Townsville, in the Charters Towers, up to Undarra and then back through the Atherton Tablelands to Cairns.

Thanks David, we did have a really good time, and saw some amazing scenery.
