In a former life, I was an engineer for a major international computer company. So much for my background. I started taking photos in grade school using a 127 film Brownie Bullet camera. Used that, believe it or not, until I got out of college. Then, bought a 35mm SLR Miranda Sensomat (mainly because a photographer hobbyist friend liked Miranda's). When I started traveling a lot, I need something smaller; went to an Olympus XA. Then, back to SLR's with a Minolta Maxxum 3xi. In 2001, I went digital, with a nice Canon G-1. Now an antique, but this model still lives as the much-updated Canon G-11. Then, back to SLR's, digital this time, with a Nikon D50. Still use that for action, long distance nature and landscape photography, and HDR work. Current favorite is my 10 megapixel wide angle Canon SD880IS. That goes with me everywhere, and is a really sweet camera.
