Dear Ina, please check the private message I've sent earlier. Thank you for your message and best wishes for the weekend.

Google will close Panoramio!

On September 16, 2014 Evan Rapoport, Google product manager, gave the migration from Panoramio in Google views and the subsequent closure of the service in future known. We, the Panoramio users, aren't willing to accept that so easy.

It’s so simple: Do you want Panoramio alive? Sign the petition. We need minimum 10.000 signatures!

Hi 陳金山, thank you for your message. I am glad you're able to see my photos in 3D. Unfortunately with a non-stereoscopic cameras, there is always possibility of having undesirable differences between the sides because of the moving objects like water in the scene. And yes, it can be minimized or eliminated with clone brush of the Stereo Photo Maker. However, I leave the each side un-touched since each side is the true scene for the time it was taken.

Yes, when known objects are not in the scene, it is difficult to judge the size of the objects in the scene. But generally I tend to use a lot of base distance between the sides to emphasize the sense of 3D sense and I know it also causes us to feel the objects smaller then they actually are. This is because our brain thinks that objects that are perceived with very strong sense of 3D are closer to us than those which are far from us.

In summary once our brain has strong sense of 3D, it thinks that the object is very close and therefore small as well...

Best wishes from Palm Beach, Florida. Volkan

Hi Kaygod, glad you enjoyed this Glacier detail in 3D. Yes, stereoscopic viewing reveal far more detail in deep and in transparent areas than plain 2D viewing. I am always amazed about how powerful our brain that it can extract experience like this from sterescopic photos. Cheers from Palm Beach, FL. Volkan

Thank you much Juan Jose Perez Pere. Glad you liked it. Cheers from Palm Beach, FL. Volkan
