Taxing for take off the plane developed an unusual shimmy in the rear. The tail wheel, which had been leaking slowly, had gone flat.
The plane being towed back to the hanger so I can change the tailwheel tube. Fortunately, I had a new tube and the repair took about an hour.
Approach to Cold Meadow, ID. The strip is at 7,000 ft.
A river near the West Yellowstone airport. West Yellowston was a very pilot friendly airport.
We made a brief stop for fuel. Salmon is set in a beautiful valley.
Cold Meadow is a back country airstrip in central Idaho. This is our camp.
