This specific tree lane has been one of the most beautiful scenes in Jonkershoek for many decades, but sadly veld fire raged through there and about 60% to 70% of those trees are completely dead and are now marked with white paint. Ususally done to indicate trees to be felled, so I suppose they will be gone in a few weeks time.
