We took the left. Yes, you do have to use wire cables to boost yourself up. I hiked to the foot of the mountain solo, and gave up when I saw the steel cables, turned around and was on my way back down the trail when I ran into two Israelis who convinced me to go back with them. They helped me up the cables and over the rock wall.

While we were up at the lake, a guy from England who was traveling alone, came up the trail on the right, up by the waterfalls. He said it was easy.

I would recommend doing it with a couple of other people. Going back down was easier than climbing up.
