Magia zamierzchłych czasów ...

This was in the late evening around an hour before sunset in early September last year. I saw this same coyote again in October and have also seen an infant one near Guindon Park. It was so small it almost looked like a fox with the exception of its narrow eyes/ skinny tail also grey instead of red.

Interesting photo. It looks like a Juvenile due to its greyish colour and its neck. It is so weird when you see baby herons they are even stranger looking.

It is nice to see that birds like this are still in the Ottawa Area. You managed to get an amazing closeup shot.

I don't think this is algae; I believe it is a plant commonly known as duckweed, one of the smallest flowering plants in the world.
