Shearwater Aviation Museum. Back in the 1960's, One of the first roles I had in my life was as a Naval Airman in the Royal Canadian Navy. I worked some of that time on the flightdeck of the aircraft carrier, H.M.C.S. Bonaventure, mostly with Tracker aircraft like this one and Seaking helicopters. It was an unforgetable experience.

Pine Hill Cemetery. This is a part of a graveyard where my mother, father and a brother are buried. I took this shot because I was astounded by the new life which has sprung forth in its trees and had a moment of reflection about my relatives that are resting there.

St. James Church Hall - Over the years, this hall was the site of many fairs, gatherings, meetings, wedding receptions and so on. Potato Island - Out there, roughly in the middle of the picture is this small Island in St. Margaret's Bay. When I was a child, we used to row out there in a boat and fish by handline for Cod or dive for Mussels. This island is at the mouth of the Ingram River estuary at the tip of the actual Boutilier's Point.

Badges - These three insignia were worn on my uniform when I served in the Royal Canadian Navy between the mid. and late 1960's. The crossed rifles were for a marksman's score on the firing range. The anchor and wings represented my occupational category as a naval airman. The chevron was called a "G.C." or "good conduct badge" and was awarded upon the completion of at least three years of service with exemplary conduct. Obviously, both the uniforms and the navy have undergone many changes since

It was cleaned by brushing it with toothpaste in order to keep it snow white

Rugged Coast of Nova Scotia - This photo was taken not far from Halifax, the Capital of Nova Scotia, by my daughter, Jen. The shot demonstrates a portion of the splendour of the province's extensive shoreline. In this picture, you can see and feel the clouds, water, trees and weathered rocks all contributing to a sense of the ocean's power and majesty.
