Greetings Jacques, Thanks for visiting the Loch and commenting. It's almost two hours uphill to get to this point, but we were at the cave in another five minutes. A little houskeeping and clearing of new snow and we were ready for a night in the mountains.

Cheers,

Rich

Andres:

It's always gratifying to hear from someone who appreciates my photos. Thanks for the compliment.

I would encourage you to visit Alaska when you get the chance. It's a beautiful place. You may think I'm crazy, but my favorite time to visit there is winter when the temperatures rage from right around freezing or a little above, down to in some areas as low as -60F. The days are short that time of year though so you have to plan carefully to take advantage of every minute of light. Summer is quite the opposite. The coldest spot in winter - Fairbanks area - is often the warmest in summer with temps that on occasion can top 100F.

Greetings Andres, Thanks for visiting Fremont Pass. The beautiful snow in the foreground is actually covering a tailing pond from the Climax Molybdenum Mine at the top of the pass. To get this important additive to steel they mined and leveled a beautiful 12,000 foot mountain. It is really something to see. But winter makes it so much nicer to look at. Thanks again for visiting.

Cheers,

Rich

Greetings Andres, Sometimes stating the obvious still doesn't help the poor driver. Some are just in way to far over their heads (had one in the park this morning!!!). Being a beautiful day as it was it was easy to forget about the road conditions while checking out the sights. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Glad you enjoyed the picture.

Cheers,

Rich

You're right, Andres, it was sort of the cusp of the end of the world, but we pulled through!

Dann.

I love my new CS3, it does things CS2 just boggled at, then did poorly

It's hard to pick a favorite among your new additions, but this one is outstanding. Looks like it was a nice day.

Greetings from Florida! Andres
