Aren't they just great? I love them and would love to own and live in one - really! Nissen huts there, Quonset huts here. Before looking them up I never knew they originated in the UK. There are a lot here, about half built much more recently because they are still manufactured. I prefer the oldies, of course. There was a Marine medical rehab unit here during the war (demolished) and an Air Force base, then that became an Air Natn'l Guard base (still in operation). So, a lot of small-scale military bases since WWII. I think that's why there are so many of these around - I suspect some were salvaged from the bases. Nice to have someone interested in these, thx for the Fave!
