Fort Sumter was one of the many forts built by the United States after the war of 1812. It would later play an important role in the Civil War.

Worse places to be, huh? Did you park in the kink in the road near the church? It's about the best on-street FREE parking in the area, and the beach is nice thourgh that stretch.

JHope to be right back there in acouple of years!

Know what you mean. Hard to do all the things you want/plan while on island time!

Please do keep me posted.

Where ever the exact location on the map should be, it's a great shot of the Hatteras Ferry dock and the Graveyard of the Atlantic museum and surrounding area.

Thanks, everyone! It's one of the few wreck that surf fisherman can access, and is a favorite spot for many!

Thanks again!

This house was doomed long before Isabel. You can also find pictures of this house on the National Geographic Website. The house used to belong to a preacher.

Shot was taken late June or so of this year. Thanks! It was a nice looking boat on a nice water day. A friend of mine works on the "White Eagle" out of Oden's from time to time.

Photos placed in a hurry. Advise as to correct location/place name and will fix, as with all others.

Thanks!
