Suzi - I have been a wee bit out of circulation, so sorry for your neglect. We found very little except perhaps an overhead glass insulator! ....oh and lots of ticks.
I must go back when the ticks have gone and look for BttF memorabilia! :o)
Great link Mike. Technical writing is full of pitfalls because the reader is often also technical and literal. They talk about having a double track line. They then go onto imply that it might be a narrow (standard) gauge inside a wide gauge, or did they just use a wide or perhaps a narrow gauge and lay them side by side.
Obviously written by a copy writer!
..or its too early for me.
Thanks both - Jethro
A flower longhorn (roughly translated)
I shall keep my eyes peeled for such a thing in my yard!
Many thanks for the info - J
Thank you for the kind words and the link to the osprey set. He is a truly wonderful photographer.
I am currently in Idaho heading toward Glacier, Mt. then up through the Canadian Rockies and am hoping for the opportunity to get closer shots. I recall several nests along the route but it may be too late in the season to find fledglings.
Very cute, Jethro. Nice capture! like
Thanks for the good wishes, Jethro! It's hot in northern California today too, but not humid.
The area around the ruin looks bleak and empty but adapted wildlife thrives out there. Humans, not so much.
