A little bar in the parking lot where cruise ships dock. Bartender and all-around nice girl, Amber (2006) grabs a bottle from the speedrack.

Sapphire Beach consists of multiple entities. - The public beach (as all beaches in the U.S. Virgin Islands are) is one of the most beautiful on the island. - Sapphire Beach Resort and Marina, which is a resort, marina, and condominium complex on the beach, consisting of six 3-level buildings with about 150 suites (single story) and villas (two story), and about 70 slips. The suites, villas and slips are condominiums and dockominiums, that is privately owned, but many are available to rent on a nightly/weekly/or longer basis via several resort management companies. There is also a time-share operation within the complex. The web site for the condominium association is http://www.sapphirebeachcoa.com Other condominiums adjacent to Sapphire Beach are Sapphire Villiage (on the slope overlooking the marina), and Crystal Cove (adjacent to Sapphire Beach Resort to the north). Several fishing and day-sail charter boats operate out of the marina, as well as jet-ski rentals, underwater photo services and scuba diving. On the beach, windsurfers and sailboats can be rented. There is a beautiful coral reef in the center of the beach, around a "wedding" point. The coral is protected by Virgin Islands law, and should never be touched or disturbed. It is only 1/2 mile from Sapphire Beach to the town of Red Hook, "a small fishing town with a big drinking problem" :).
