I did summer research in 2005 at U of Iowa in through SROP. Those of us in the program stayed in Mayflower Hall. This was my view every morning when I woke up, which I thought was very beautiful. Iowa City was a really fun place, it definitely dispelled all my perceptions of Iowa, LOL.
Winter at my alma matter. This was after one of the 12 inchers we had. We only had three snow days in my four years their, all for 12 inches or more, or bad ice.
Nice shot. I'm guessing either the trains just left or everything is closed because of the snowfall. After 14 yrs. growing up in the DC area and then going to Central PA for college, I realized that we panic quickly at the first sight of snow.
Excellent elementary school, of course I am biased as am alumnus. I graduated from here in 1997 in the Talented and Gifted Program. I was introduced to algebra in 6th grade which was a great math beginning as I am now a Ph.D student at the Univ. of California, Davis in Atmospheric Science.
