Near the Homer Tunel top portal, I think.
When we did the Milford Track several of us walked the Sutherland Falls. With only shorts, boots and hat... not even glasses!! The water was bloody cold, rocks slippery as heck, but despite the fact that we all got totally wet, it was great! You do need to be fit for that, but Dad did it in his late 60's...
I would have the macro lens going too...
Southerly wind on totara that is constant enough & strong enough... Some big totara's on Banks Peninsular are just like this from the southerlies. Not that there is many of the totara left on the Peninsular - most were cut down many years ago, now they are protected through out NZ. Many native trees are protected, like the Rimu, etc.
Top notch colour image!
Reckon it looks like the sort of water to flick a fly into - noting the possible snags, clarity of the water & assuming it is fishing season...!
Whch lake? Far too calm for th sea, miro59.
A great way to decorate a simple sign, miro59 - adding a person makes a world of difference.
I agree with you brezza, a lovely smile! Cheers to that yound lady & youself miro59, I suspect that this lass is a member of your family :-)
The fact that we are more than half the way down to the ice, accounds for the fact that it is so darned cold here around this time of the year - and NZ's location in the roaring 40's.
Like two old ladies on a street corner, miro59. :-)
I'm enjoying looking at your images, Cheers Mate!
"...and then I got this little bit of stuff in ma right eye - stings like blooming heck..."
