"Timios Stavros" means "Holy Cross."

This wall is customary in Rhodian homes. On it you will find pictures going back several generations, as well as embroidery and bowls that are even older.

Also customarily on these walls are icons, often of Christ and of other significant Saints for a family, Greek wedding crowns in a "stefanothiki", and an oil lamp which you can see hanging in the middle. The oil lamp is customarily lit every saturday night in honor of the departed.

This village is called Little Paris, but it is only called that by those who are from there.

This photo is called "Platania" and placed in Apollona- but its at a place called Agios Nicolaos, which is on the road between Arhipolis and Kolympia. There should be a few other photos of either the spring or the tree there.

This picture was taken before Game 4 of the 2006 ALCS. The historic game where Magglio Ordonez hit the walk off home run to clinch the series and send the Tigers to the World Series for the first time since 1984.
