The object in the photo is not an "air gun", which refers to a pneumatic weapon. This is a conventional 1931 pattern 76.2 mm (3") Russian anti-aircraft cannon from the II World War and commemorates the anti-aircraft defenses of Helsinki. Cannon of this type were captured from the enemy and also bought from the Germans during the war. They were also used as coastal defence weapons.
This would appear to have been taken from the summit of Ukonsaari Island; there is no place on the cemetery island (Hautuumaasaari, where the dot is now) where you can get a view to the east from so high up.
This is the southern cape of the cemetery island. The stones on the shore were added in the 1980´s to keep the skulls from being eroded out of the bank and being collected as souveniers by German tourists. The dot is currently in the wrong place; the cemetery island (Hautuumaasaari) lies northwest of Ukonsaari, not due east.
The picture is definitely from Ukonsaari Island; note the stairs to the jetty. The cemetery island (Hautuumaasaari) is wooded and has no bare rock outcrops, nor does it have any wooden platforms or stairs.
It's been nine years since I last was there, but I'll bet that though the picture was taken from the corner of Thayer , the view is actually east, down Angell St.

The location description "1 km from Sirma, Finnmark (Norway)" is misleading; the farm is actually on the Finnish (southern) side of the river.

Again, a picture from Ukonsaari.
