check out the book 'skeleton coast' about the wreck of the Dunedin Star. my dad was travelling on this ship as a passenger, going to his next merchant navy posting when it ran aground here. he was a young lieutenant at the time, and survived along with a group of passengers including men, women and children. when telling us the story as children, it was a great adventure. it wasn't until i read the book after his death in 2000 that i realized what an horrific experience it must have been. miss you dad.XXX
