Write something about myself? How long have you got? I have had a keen interest in photography since I was small boy and progressed to a half-decent camera after our cocker spaniel ate my Brownie. I must admit to drifting in and out of love with cameras and have never taken myself too seriously - I just like to see nice pictures of anything and hope that some of my shots will be appreciated by others - even if the content is a bit suspect ;-)

Bonne semaine, May

Hello Blackpoint! Yes, really a perfect figure! Excellently photographed! Now I know what my friend Pavlov from Krasnodar talked about when he praised the Russian girls from his homeland around the Sea of Azov! Like and Fav.! Many friendly greetings! Anton Trötscher

Hi Herb, one or two things conspired to make this scene... There was a van parked next to the cottage on the right, and a few tourists wandering around hence the tight crop to the right. The light was poor so black and white just gave the whole scene an "old" feeling. I did try sepia but that was a step too far. I was just plain lucky to have the 2 guys sitting on the step just "chewing the fat" over a cup of tea. The only thing missing here was the smell of the wood smoke from the chimney! I'm glad you found the overall effect pleasing. Many many thanks for the YSL :)

Very nice view, good composition. LIKE ! Greetings from Ukraine! Yuri.

Thank you Paolo, water mills are always very interesting motives.

Best wishes Wilfried

It's a Wow from me to.Mac.

Yes Amelia, you're so right...." and beyond".

What lies between, what's under our noses and beyond is the obvious, as wonderful as it may be!

Look beyond...., even beyond the sunset, beyond infinity either way, there lies the ultimate reality which no eye has seen....

A reality, a beauty, a wonder beyond our comprehension that reflects back....across the obvious... back into our inmost being.

That other extremity that has a purposed affinity with our Creator God.

Greetings from Hobart, Tasmania.
