Love all your photos. I grew up in Abertysswg and lived there from 1956 until 1976 when I left to attend Leicester University. Your older photos bring back some very strong memories and the newer ones show me how much/little the place has changed. I look forward to seeing more of them.
Quite a building for a small village, whilst I attended Bethania which was just along the Road I did attend certain Services at Ainon, Baptisms and Anniversary Sundays. Are the WALKOUTS still held on Whit Monday?
Ainsley Thats the local girls who heard there were some old rams up at the Mac but got there after closing time - Big shame another of the Rhymney valley night spots gone for ever H
Ainsley thats no postcard they would not have taken the shot with a tree in the way
Glyn you managed to cut your finger out of the picture - All the Best H
It's an old culvert that seen the light of day when an old wall was taken down , it has now been covered by a new wall so is unlikely to see the light of day again. It carries water from the natural spring in the woods behind into the Rhymney river.Thought it would an interesting photo as it will be unlikely to be seen again.
Ainsley's conversations

What a shame! Someones valued posession destroyed, and a local beauty spot marred - if only temporarily.
