While it may seem impossible for this to be a photo of a sunrise over the ocean when I was located on the west coast, I beg viewers to notice that the Santa Monica Bay extends inland from my location. As we all know the sun rises in the east and not always due east but mostly in a South East direction when you are in the northern hemisphere. I was located NE from the shore which goes East at its farthest point right around where Route 10 meets up with it near down town Santa monica.
