This is the mountain that nearly took my life on July 29, 1982. This photo was taken in Round Prarie looking ESE to the Thunderer whose peak is about 4,000 feet up and a mile away. I was on the left side of the rise in the ridge at the center of the picture. I fell nearly 40 feet then slid on the gravel about the same and came a yard from going over the next hill. I think if I had gone over that I wouldn't have stopped until I reached the snowfield 2000 feet beneath the ridge.
This is Paradise Valley, as seen by the Roosevelt Lodge exit sign. This photo was taken in Sept. 1981 when I worked at Roosevelt Lodge for a summer during college. Good Times!!!

This is a complete 180 view from the patio of the beachhouse I stayed at for a friends wedding in Aug. 2006
