Welcome to my panoramio site. I hope you enjoy viewing my photo selections, taken mostly in the American Rocky Mountains & Great Plains. I have had a camera in my hand continuously since childhood always looking for new photo opportunities and view points. Generally, I photograph in panorama/ landscape camera setting as we saw the American West in the movies. Through the years, I have taken 100's of hikes to discover new locations to photograph. Now, I have returned to photograph with a digital camera, hopefully with improved camera experience. I also have a passion for history photographing anything old-- towns, buildings, trains, planes, old forts & trails, etc. My photo descriptions sometimes contain geologic information, my career background. Recently, I have included photos of the Canadian Rocky Mountains after numerous trips the last several years as I passed & hiked in Glacier National Park in Montana. Again, thanks for visiting my panoramio photo site. Would enjoy hearing from anyone caring to comment from other parts of the world. Never stop exploring our planet and getting to know it better through photographs.

Greetings Volodya, Thank you for commenting on my photo. Yes, these hugh sandstone potholes on Dance Hall Rock are very interesting & unique features in the southwestern US due to their size and depth.

If one falls into one of these hugh potholes about 10 to 20 feet deep, one is usually trapped without a way out with help & a rope-- much like a natural dungeon.

Thanks Nunek

I am very Happy that you Liked it11
