It is a very friendly village as well. I stayed on the campsite in June 2006
Such a marvellous place, you have managed to capture its towering maginificance.
Owned by Mdme Newell. It is very nice inside, she does B&B and also has a gite on the top floor.
We were indeed staying there. We rented a house for 2 weeks. a great holiday. My only regret is we stayed there 2 weeks before wild boar season. I would have loved some 'bacon'!
Like most of the villages in that area it depends on it being high season or low! Le Vivier has approx 80 but it swells during the summer but can drop below 40 in the winter if grandma decides to stay with her family in somewhere like Perpignan. I would think Vira has the same migrationary pattern.
Thank you Tyger H
You are right, a visit of the Katharer castles in the Languedoc is quite amusing and worth a trip.
Quite only the rise of the Château Bas to the Château San Jordi of the Château de Peyrepertuse is a being tight affair in windy weather.
Wonderful picture, excellent. Very often the sunrise is more spectacular than the sunset in that part of the world.
Such a spectacular place, everyone should visit Queribus
My favourite, the last Cathar castle
