The road in the distance is Francis Peak Road which leads to the radar domes at the summit. The canyon between is Farmington Canyon. My Jeep and the local news media stand sentinel as the reporter and photographer climb to the fires lowest point on the mountain for a live update (View the report here http://real.ksl.com/video/slc/sid_video/1624212.ram). This point is less than 1000 feet from homes on the hill.
