I saw it from the parking place on the Via Rinfrena, and had to drive back and forth through the neighborhood to get there. It is located at the Localita Santa Maria Nuova, close to the number 11 on the map.
Ever walked 4000 steps in one time? I did, in just over 2 hours. You start at 1100 meters above sealevel, and end at 1800. Best time up to now is 20 minute and 28 seconds.
This picture was taken from the tour Montparnasse when the lights on the Eiffel Tower were flickering.
As far as I know the lights flicker for about 1 minute at 22:00, was I lucky to get this shot.
The light on top is like a lighthouse at the sea.
We were there October 2008. Outside the tunnel the temperature was app. 22 degrees, inside it was just above 0 degrees. The tunnel leads from the top of the Europatreppe to the top of the silvrettapass, and is app 4 kms long.
We were there in July 2007, and the door was just open, so we walked in and I took a couple of pictures. There was a sign explaining what it was. Maybe I took a picture of it. If you want to see more pics sent your mailadress and I'll post them to you.

The white car next to the machine is not a dinkytoy but a real life Landrover 110. This machine is app. 62 meters high.
