Semarang heeft nog veel architectuur van het verleden intact, meer nog dan vele andere grote plaatsen, viel me op. Sluwe zet van die man, maar in de ogen van Soekarno was het een logische confiscatie van nationaal eigendom. Jammer dat de geschiedenis een zo abrupt einde aan de relatie tussen deze twee landen maakte.
