Llangorse lake has has a crannog that was the subject of a time team dig a few years ago. A small replica was built complete with a round house as a visitor attraction in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

This yew tree is claimed to be the oldest tree in England (Evenging News 1966). In 1805 the yew was hollowed out to form a small room with bench and table and seating for a dozen men. Thus providing a meeting place.
