left after the "Blizzard" of '09. The media really blew it out of proportion... it wasn't much of a blizzard. Still, Calvert County got over a foot of snow, which made for a scenic holiday season. Also, school was cancelled for two days, starting winter break early.

A nice view of LA near sunset. Such clear skies are rare during the summer.

This is the LA Skyline from the 110 Freeway at 30th St., just south of Adams Blvd., as you can see from the sign. I apologize for the picture quality... this is actually a still image captured from video taken on a camcorder.

Such a view of Downtown from Torrance is rare during the summer. This night was very clear... usually by this time of night the marine layer has rolled in and has combined with the smog to obscure a good view. This was a treat.
