The little town of Skamokawa, on the Columbia, is very close to where Lewis & Clark first spotted the Pacific.

This little pano was stitched from 6 shots taken April 3, 2013. A free program called hugin did the stitching & blending.

A couple of times i had to do the last 'push' to the peak from base camp by myself :( Sometimes it was too far to risk it alone. i hope to revist some of these peaks with my new adventure partner 'Crazy Finn'

This place I also like. It has very little traffic and a great place to explore and climb (in good weather). I was perplexed on the Mole or the next spire(don't recall which) when a pin Becky said was an A1, had been cleaned.

The plateau really was more beautiful and awe inspiring then I had imagined it. I think the name "Lost World Plateau" fits well. I wish I could be there now at this time of the year.

This is a wonderful place and photo.

I have really enjoyed your climbing/alpine photos. Your note on the rescue when climbing near Snowfield was facinating. The mountains are so beautiful and offer challange, however the risks are there and not always seen. I think climbers have so many untold stories. Thanks for sharing!
