This of course is a very modern style, certainly very attractive, and it has caught on in this area through adoption (in a wide variety of building materials) by a number of different denominations. You would find much to like in Eastern Virginia, I think! And I'm glad you do!

I was fortunate in meeting the pastor of this church at his OTHER church, and he brought me over to this one and allowed me to photograph the interior. He told me the church was built by Mobjack shipbuilders in the Nineteenth Century, who invested their skills in wooden shipbuilding in constructing the ceiling. This is the original ceiling, well over 100 years old now--and STILL not leaking! I am glad you like it!
