My what blue skies they have in West Point.

Wonderful macro - fav 20, like 106. Best wishes, Göran

La più tetra foto del Castello della Pietra! Bella! Bella la tua galleria cosmopolita, quindi vai a far compagnia agli altri fotografi miei preferiti.

Hi Jos! His oversize load has escaped and is running up and down Rochambeau Drive trying to get it nicely paved. Evidently it is a project that can be completed in a matter of hours, or this costly flatbed would undoubtedly be somewhere else blocking traffic there. It would probably be impressive to photograph when it is fully loaded, but I didn't want to wait that long.

It was a good day to be driving a very narrow car like mine . . . .

I am very glad you took the time to evaluate this picture, and I hope I have it more nearly correctly located now. Thank you very much!

The camera I used for this trip I took because it was very dependably waterproof, and not because it had any GPS capability. The Tuna Tracker itself was equipped with state-of-the-art navigation, but I was not thinking much about geopositioning the photographs at the time, and of course I was not steering the boat.

As you see, it was taken about 10 A.M.--but yes, it is a very yellow house, even in the shade! About five miles away, Pleasant Point Plantation has also been painted yellow: Google. I'm not sure what it all means--migrations from the Caribbean?

"I hate to see that evening sun go down." It is not their fault that you and I cannot afford drones or airships to capture our photographs. Perhaps they are satisfied with the satellite images anyway.

Certainly one of my favorites!

I did take the photograph thinking that it might provide a fertile ground for discussion. Considering the high winds which occasionally play across the relatively flat lands of Surry County, both house and carport may in fact be fourth or fifth generation facsimiles of an Ur-house and stable complex. It is handy to the seventh-generation Surry County Courthouse (1924).
